Understanding Grief: An Introduction

This free, one time, two-hour session is open to grieving adults. It covers common grief reactions, uniqueness of each person’s grief, as well as healthy coping strategies. Includes a 30-minute DVD.

The class offers practical, concrete suggestions to assist in managing the stress, loneliness and confusion that holidays can bring. Some of the topics covered include: setting boundaries on expectations; being flexible; recreating or changing traditions; bringing special touches of loved ones into the holidays; gifts and gift giving; and having a plan. Includes a 30-minute DVD.
