Fall Grief Groups and Classes

Sep 13, 2019

September bookmarks the turning of the seasons, bringing cooler weather, beautiful colors throughout nature, and a new schedule for Chaplaincy Grief Care’ Fall Support Groups and Classes. Some choose to attend a group after a loss, while others may wait years. Wherever you are in the healing process, Chaplaincy Grief Care is here to help. Support groups are free and open to anyone in the community who is experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one. We invite you to come and join others who are on the same journey.

Chaplaincy Grief Care offers a wide variety of classes for you to choose from. With new offerings like “The Color of Grief: Healing Through Watercolor,” seasonal groups like “Hope for the Holidays,” to groups in Spanish, “Esperanza a Través del Dolor (Hope through Healing).”

The Color of Grief: Healing Through Watercolor – This class is designed to engage those who would like to explore the use of visual art to express their grief journey. There will be a guided process through the art activity and no previous art experience is required.

Esperanza a Traves del Dolor (Hope Through Healing) – This group welcomes Spanish-speaking adults who have experienced a death of a loved one. This group will be conducted entirely in Spanish. Feel free to invite a grieving friend of family member who has also experienced a death of a loved one.

Hope for the Holidays – Open to adults seeking information to better navigate the holiday season following a loss. The class offers practical, concrete suggestions to assist in managing the stress, loneliness and confusion that holidays can bring.

We offer 10-week classes and drop-in groups. For a full list of groups and classes click here. All offerings are list on our events calendar.
