This fall, we continue to celebrate 50 years of service to our community by looking back at the 1990s and sharing the story of how the community came together to serve us. 3,000 volunteers spent 27 months and a combined 24,101 hours of volunteer labor to build the original Chaplaincy Hospice House and Counseling Center. These efforts were awarded with a national Community Spirit Award.
Take a few minutes today to learn more about the rich history of Chaplaincy, read about the return of volunteers, view upcoming support groups and more!
I would like to share my Mother’s and my experience with hospice and our fabulous hospice team. We would have been lost without them. Best advice is not to wait until the last week of life to bring in hospice. Establishing a relationship between you and the team and the team with you helps so much as things progress. Very thankful for their assistance in helping us navigate our journey to a comfortable and peaceful passing for my mom.
